Questions to site 2019

Please answer the following questions by the  Jan 21th and send the me.

  1. What is your Purpose for the site?

 

SITE 1: The ADACA Project (Aging, Disability, and Access to Care in Asia)

            Information
Community awareness
Other explain: Engaging others in our collaborative work, sharing video examples related to our content

Site 2: EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICE FOR PEOPLE WITH APHASIA AND OTHER NEUROGENIC COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES (not sure yet what we will call it)

 

2. Please find 4 webs sites (URLS) that you like . These sites do not have to be about the same thing as your site, you are using them as design ideas.
Describe why you like them-

Simple to navigate. Clear and legible. Embedded videos and text resources. I am not fond of the colors.  We don’t need a member login.

Simple to navigate. Not too overwhelming with visual info. Embedded videos and text resources. Simple choices for subtopic areas on the home page.  I would want to see the embedded video within the text on the explanatory pages.

Simple to navigate. Not too overwhelming with visual info. I would not want to video examples to show on the front page (unless maybe it’s one or two opening videos to explain the site). It would be better to have the content areas have those within subtopic pages.

Something like this could be good for the tutorial materials, although it would be nice to have it be more colorful.

 

3. Describe the layout of your site.
Think about what is the most important? What is the optimum order of your links?

4. Where is the data for these pages

I will provide Word docs with the text, and video files. If we can you Dropbox I prefer that.

For the videos, we might us an external hard drive for uploading them on Youtube, then we can refer to the Youtube links within the web sites.

5. Who is going to input missing data?
Are they willing to be the liaison to Springfield? Will they pick up and respond to e-mail daily?

I will.

6. What kind of pictures are you interested in using?

For ADACA I have lots of photos.

For the aphasia site I could use photos from the videos.

For the aphasia site I have an image for a logo (or a theme, something like a logo) I’d like to use.

 Do you have photographs?
Yes.

Have the models signed off?  All images need to be bought or copyright free.
Yes.

8.When can you come see us?
We meet on Tuesday and Thursdays  2-3:15.
Will either of these work?
Feb 5 (Tuesday)  2PM YES (might be a few minutes late, coming from another meeting)
Feb 7 (Thursday) 2PM – could do about 2:30, not 2.
